Thank you Do Lectures …
This week we have had Jonathan Cherry helping out a little bit with the Do Lectures. He is a Photography graduate from University College Falmouth and has a drive to DO things. Earlier this year he produced a book called ‘Blue Watch’ with Sir Books. It is a 48 page perfect bound book with 22 plates.
“I loved the fact that they were so relaxed and I focused on making images which portrayed a slowness, an in between time of nothingness where the firemen seemed to playing the waiting game. Finally this led me to search for moments of stillness responding to my experiences their by making photographs rather than just simply documenting what I was experiencing.”
In the book contributions came from the following Doers:Russell Davies (Writer for Wired UK and blogger)
Davey Spens (Costa Coffee residence in house writer)
Matthew Pontin and Jonathan Blyth (MA Graduate and Fotonow directors)
David Versteeg (Creative writer)
Design by Luke Tonge
Colour correction by Luke Halilley
You can buy the book at King Of England and off amazon.co.uk
Thanks Jonathan for all your efforts.
