This is an image from the ‘Free Range’ Falmouth Graduate Show in London (11th - 15th June). All in all it was a great experience and a real eye opener into why/when/where/how shows work. It was fun to get my head around all the little bits and pieces behind the scenes which need to be done before and after a show has gone up/come down. There was a load of positive feedback and the work was strong.
It was a little bizarre on the Monday when we were taking everything down because it seemed to end so suddenly. All that effort … three years of work for me to display one photograph of some fire fighters legs. It was a little hazy. Which is why it has been so encouraging to have my Blue Watch book on sale. It is an object which people can connect with so much more than an image on a white washed wall. The book speaks so much more than my one image ever could.
Six boxes of the Blue Watch book have been sat in my room ready to go on sale for the past couple of weeks. The smell of all that print was incredible … I loved it. Now its on sale and slowly the numbers are getting mailed out all over the world. Search out for a copy here and see exactly what the last seven months of my life have been all about!
